Illustration Friday: Wind


My submission for Illustration Friday"s "Wind" is from my 2003 HomeMade Calendar and the title is "Mill House". This painting is for the month of November and the quote is: "Home is an Invention on which no one has yet improved". ~Ann Douglas~

  6. I love the low hills in the background!! the quote made me want to make sure my home feeels like a home...maybe if I did the laundry instead of leaving it on the couch...hmmmm hehehe

  17. Windmills are truly among my most cherished buildings, this one is lovely, especially that it seems a bit off the beaten path among a field of tulips.

  26. We were just driving highway 5 and aw all the great wind energy towers. So cool, wouldn't it be great to all live in a windmill house! I love it, it's really whimsical.

  29. Mill house is gorgeous! Very nice, val...I really like this. A ton of hand work on those mill blades...
    I really love the little houses and trees in the distance...the grass with the flowers...the base of the tower...aw hec, as I sit and gaze and admire...I like every little bit of this painting.

    Even the shade of blue for the mountains in the far background...you captured that exact shade of blue that you see in real life when you look at the mountains...
