My submission for Illustration Friday's "rejection" is from a dimensional painting called "Chastity". This was # 3 in a 5-part series for my show "Five Easy Pieces". The paintings were Vanity, Charity, Chastity, Sinkronicity and Stability. Each artwork was based on a piece of furniture or household item. Vanity is a vanity, Chastity, is a chaise lounge, etc. This is a poster and postcard/invite for the show. She had to reject a lot of men to stay chaste.
powerful invite! i like the colors and the shapes of the structured posts in the background together with the painting of some sort of temples in the middle of the sea and a lot more......
ReplyDeleteAnd did it work? :) Nice one, Val.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a clever concept I wish I thought up :D Great invite!
ReplyDeleteOf course I just love this image. Check out that moon peeking through the stylish windows? However, I wonder how a beautiful half-naked woman could remain chaste. She must indeed have strong rejection powers!
