Illustration Friday: Fleeting

Childhood is fleeting. My submission for Illustration Friday's "Fleeting" theme is a dimensional painting for Rady Children's Hospital auction on April 21st. The title of this painting is "Happy Home". I loved making it and hope it goes to a happy home and benefits a child who needs care.

Happy Easter or Passover or both :)

  4. It is truly a gorgeous piece. Very touching and sort of wistful as well.

And your illustration for Talisman is wonderful. I have a key like that somewhere, without the darling houses. Yours just shows how multitalented you are and what a great imagination you turn loose in any project you approach.

  6. This is a beautiful piece Val and I agree with your idea. A happy childhood is fleeting although a terrible one seems like eternity. I pray that every child will have a happy one. I love your music. I ow you an email. Gotta catch up with you :)

  14. It's great that this will help children. It's sad how many don't get any real childhood at all. Bless you for thinking of them.

  28. Makes the child in me want to walk through that door.
It's the warmth from the golden glow, and could anything be wrong with the world in this sweet little house.

You're right, I look like I'm in a boxing ring, and I didn't see that until I read your comment.
