My submission for song is "Music House". It is an illustration from my 2004 HomeMade calendar. Music and song makes everything seem better!copyright 2003
A wonderful place to live! Your painting, as always is full of creativity and imagination. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone walked out of their home today singing a song or at least imagining one.
Hey what nice! - look that musical trail , is like a dream - and the fume of notes. It is so beautiful and peaceful - I am sure that the music is symphony n.3 by Vaugham Williams.
So true! I'm sure I have said it before, so let me try and say it another way...your colors are so lush, they create such a rich place to rest my eyes, mi ojos never want to leave the surface of your work. Bravo!
Music and song does indeed make everything seem better...even if your mood is good to start with. There's nothing like a good song. That "music house" of yours would fit nicely into the landscape of Eastern Canada.
what a gorgeous idea Val- you always have such wonderful thoughts! Image has a reall musical flow about it. i can just imagine the lovely sounds floating out and around this house-love it!
I'm afraid everyones taken the words right out of my mouth. I have a feeling if I entered your little Music House, even though I am not musically inclined,I might find myself pocessed with the ability to sing, sweet, sweet music.
Imagine living in a guitar: we should all be so lucky. Still another wonderful illustration from ValGal; always a pleasure to return to see what you have this week.
You win...a fancy mixed cd from the BGD blog, if'n you want it, of course. My musical favorites of late will be on it. E-mail me your address and I'll get it out to you as soon as I make it. :)
I love how you stick to a theme and follow it throgh...This is a beautiful illustration. A house is not a house until you've illustrated in fact a violin isn't a house until you have illustrated it. Lovely!
This is so charming, Val! I love the idea of a music house to begin with, and this is so beautifully done!
ReplyDeletereally beautiful and joyful, first one I have seen this week... good start for my weekend!
ReplyDeleteVal..this is sooooo cool! I love how all the world's a house to you:>
ReplyDeleteif only i can build the same style of house. 'makes me sing, too!

what a clever idea. I like the over-all dreamy feel to it.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I didn't guess you'd have an instrument as a house.. though maybe I should've...
ReplyDeleteYou work within your constraint of houses as though it wasn't a constraint at all.
Oh! I love the image.. I want to crawl inside and listen..
ReplyDeleteLove it! and what Caroline said about your constraint, too. Maybe the constraint leads to finding the macrocosm in the micro....
ReplyDeleteAnd just think, everytime the wind blows, it creates a song on the houses strings...
ReplyDelete:-D
I heart this! Do more.
ReplyDeleteOnce again you are the master of the genre, Val. Very clever indeed! It really made me smile.
ReplyDeleteWho's pulling the strings in this house? Maestro magic.
ReplyDeleteI love this! My grandmother played the violin and I loved listening to her play it.
ReplyDeleteGood job!
