Illustration Friday: Match

My submission for Illustration Friday's "Match" is a dimensional painting I made in 1991 for the Revness family in Brentwood. This piece is called "Some Enchanted Evening". The guy is seranading the woman and if this works out it is a match made in heaven...

  14. Dear Bad Dog: It's interesting that a deceased dog that is bad would be interested in buying art! Where do you put your money and do they have walls where you are?

  34. beautiful work… what i don't get is why he doesn't just use the bridge… or why she doesn't come running across said bridge into his arms…

  35. I do like the dimensional look, gives me the feeling the lovers could cross that little bridge that isolates one from the other, and
I love paintings that pull me in, and this little scene is full of drama and purpose. Lucky Revness family.

  36. It sort of reminds me of the brige between Frida and Diego's houses. Were they a match made in heaven or hell? Hmmmmm...either way, lovely submission!

  37. How charming and evocative!

  38. The perspective that you created really jumps of the canvas, Val. And it almost glows with color.

  39. Great match, Val!
Is she playing hard to get or just hiding from prying eyes?
Let's hope that bridge is over troubled waters.
