My submission for Illustration Friday's "Farm" is from a greeting card I created for Marisol's everyday line and the title is "Farm House". I love painting farm houses and farms and barns and rolling golden fields. The recipient of this card gets the gift of time with someone they care about. What a great idea! Have a wonderful weekend, I need to finish painting the walls of my studio.

This has the sunny feel of a great day with the moos and clucks... I wish I had a few chickens again, they are such cozy birds(and taste just just like chicken)(acKkkk! I can't believe I just said that:))))
ReplyDeleteThey do make lovely pets, just remember not to eat your friends!
I love this! And the whole idea makes me think that a drive in the country would be just the perfect thing on a nice fall day. Your image makes me want to see what is on the next hillside and the next and the next. Your work always brings warm smiles to my day.
ReplyDeleteThat's the country with the oldfashioned farm - nice.
ReplyDeleteVal, you have the cutest cards and calendars!! Wish I was on your mailing list :) So adorable!
ReplyDeleteval: Okay, I'm coming back because I want to live on that farm. I've decided to get a gig as a horse as they are less likely to end up as lunch like what happened to Idahl's chicken. Thanks for the inspiration. Bad Dog (presently deceased)
ReplyDeleteVal! This is gorgeous!!!! I love, love, love... Farms are so fun to illustrate...you did great on this one :-)
ReplyDeleteThe composition/use of space in this one is dynamite! I just finished painting my front door and door frame. I really enjoyed a different kind of painting -- enjoy yourself.
