Illustration Friday: Farm

My submission for Illustration Friday's "Farm" is from a greeting card I created for Marisol's everyday line and the title is "Farm House". I love painting farm houses and farms and barns and rolling golden fields. The recipient of this card gets the gift of time with someone they care about. What a great idea! Have a wonderful weekend, I need to finish painting the walls of my studio.

This has the sunny feel of a great day with the moos and clucks... I wish I had a few chickens again, they are such cozy birds(and taste just just like chicken)(acKkkk! I can't believe I just said that:))))
They do make lovely pets, just remember not to eat your friends!

I love this! And the whole idea makes me think that a drive in the country would be just the perfect thing on a nice fall day. Your image makes me want to see what is on the next hillside and the next and the next. Your work always brings warm smiles to my day.

val: Okay, I'm coming back because I want to live on that farm. I've decided to get a gig as a horse as they are less likely to end up as lunch like what happened to Idahl's chicken. Thanks for the inspiration. Bad Dog (presently deceased)

The composition/use of space in this one is dynamite! I just finished painting my front door and door frame. I really enjoyed a different kind of painting -- enjoy yourself.

'love yer card! Especially the cows in the road. (It reminds me why I'm glad I don't have cows anymore....there was always a jumper in the crowd, getting out of the fence!.....hard to imagine something so big jumping a fence, huh?)

Love the perspective, from that cool car and the Jersey cows down the roling hils to the farm, and the light is so like the country- crystal.
Love this post, of my favorites!

I forgot to say...I lived that very experience last night on a tiny country road in Lindale, TX... it was just me and two chubby calves who were really happy to be strolling on the road...

This is so sweet and nostalgic! Those darn cows in the road; you know, they still do that! Have you ever been blocked on the road by a cow? It makes you feel so helpless and silly.
