Illustration Friday: Quiet

My submission for Illustration Friday's "Quiet" is from my 2002 HomeMade calendar and the title is "Homeward Bound". Some of you might recognize the pooch to be my Rat boy. I am in Seattle today and I am celebrating my Mom's 69th birthday with my sis and my Mom's sis and we are having a party! 69 is mighty fine! This is why my post is incomplete as I don't have access to my stuff but I got my picture off the internet and will fix when I get home. My addiction to IF is pretty obvious and if I don't post on IF I might explode! Have a great weekend!!!

Back from Seattle today and I had a wonderful time with my family! Updated the picture, this is a bit bigger and want to add the usual info: This painting was for the month of August and the quote is "Life''s a voyage that's homeward bound" ~proverb

Valgal! Glad to see you won't explode! It would make mom's bday party very messy. Keep thinking about that skier....

From what I can tell, this is a delightful illustration...why so pixellated? Reminds me of the "Little Boxes" opening sequence on the show "Weeds."

Lovely painting! I'd love to see this a little larger, hoping that's what you meant by "fixing it"
Hope you had a great B-day party.

Hi Val hope you had a good time.
This is a great illo of Rat. It does have a quiet feeling looking down into the town. Kind of make you homesick to go home for a visit. ;-)

the proverb says it all! and your illo is mighty stunning as always!

Great illustration... wonderful view of the quiet neighborhood. Love the dog... and that's the only exception to make... dogs do not a quiet neighborhood make. When one goes off, they all go off... and ours is deaf, and he can't hear himself howl.

WOW! This is awesome!

I really can't decide which I like better. This one or the newer post. They both have such unique qualities that I admire. Thanks so much for you wonderful comments on my painting. Sometimes, I spread myself so thin and try to do so many things that I can no longer pick a direction. Staying at an advertising agency is just safe. It's no longer a challenge, so I am trying to figure out if I should get a rep and move on to a new life.
