Illustration Friday: suit

My submission for Illustration Friday's "suit" is a painting commissioned by the San Diego Chamber Orchestra. They used it for the cover of their 94-95 season program and they auctioned the original at their gala event. They asked me to create the fun lettering too.

Well I've never worn a suit. I like my fur coat and the danderwear underneath. I've never peed on stage either. Bad Dog

The more serious the music, the more seriously dressed the musicians! Cool work!

This is charming! You really conveyed the lively, energetic feel of an orchestra having a great time: it makes a perfect program cover.

BTW, thank you for the lovely comment on my own IF post, I really appreciate it!

Great work. 1994 was a great summer. The heyday of radiohead, pulp fiction and 3DO. I love the illustration.

This is wonderful Val! I love the curtains with notes and I love the view from the balcony. The nose-bleed seats, according to some :) I can see how you make your living from your art. You're so talented!
