My submission for Illustration Friday's "Heavy" is a work in progress. It has a little attic room that goes with it, but I am just showing this closet today. I plan on making it look old and antiqued in the end. It looks like it might be a heavy piece of furniture but as you can see it is light and fits in the palm of my hand! I will repost when this whole project is done.
Happy Birthday to the best sister a girl could have! I love you Dee Dee xoxo

Wow Val, this is going to be too cool!! I can't wait to see it finished!
Oh this is so cute!!! I love the hangers and if that is your gentle, creative hand, I am delighted to see it.
P.S. Dancing, traveling and shopping, visiting, partying and sightseeing :-)
those are the cutest hangers in the world! this whole thing reminds me of dr. seuss!
Hey Val,
Love the closet, of course! Reminds me of all the cute things you used to build when we were kids. I don't know if you remember building a Valentine's Day diorama for me when I was in 1st grade, but I was the envy of everyone. I wish I had kept it because it would be valuable as an example of your early 3D art. :)
Anyway, thanks for the call out on my birthday! How did we get to be this old?
I love you a lot & hope you find your cute car soon.

i can't believe it is tiny because it does look heavy esp. in the first picture. i can't wait for the finished product but i both like white painted and antique furnitures. The background you used is also great.

Nobody does inanimate objects like you, Valerie. You continue to make me smile with amazement every week! Thank you!
That is really cool. I was completely unaware of the until I saw the last picture. Nice piece.

I'm sorry for not responding to your question on my "out the window" blog, but I don't check it so often. I'd be honoured if you decided to paint any of the views from my photos - just please show me the result.
Oh wow.. i love this closet. Are you gonna paint it? hm hm.. hehehe..
I'm looking forward to see what the finished product looks like, Val.
I love your little furniture pieces and houses. They're so happy and organic and seemingly alive. I love it in white but can't wait to see where you go with it. Oh, and those hangers... adorable!

Haha.. To be honest Valerie, that guy is not me.. he is Toni Selles, a graphic designer from Spain.. I am the cute guy in the caricature in the right side of my flog.. but I will try to say him your words.. :)
This would be so cool as a real piece of furniture. When are you going to start making them life size? :)
just how adorable is that? you expect to see little birds flying out of the drawers...
