Illustration Friday: poof !

It seemed like an average day when suddenly a whirring noise occurred and poof! a flower shaped contraption flew into view. It was perfect for a ladybug picnic :)

My submission for Illustration Friday's "poof" theme is Liquitex Acrylics on Stonehenge paper.

Your image is, indeed, totally magical; I love 'being a kid again' when I visit your site. Now I'm going to go demand my husband buy a CD of Canned Heat! Can you get one!?

I feel like i have just toured a candy store, visiting your blog today. : )

Love the whimsical house and the fun music you chose, and then the fim about the lifecycle of the ladybug. What a well-thought-out post.

I am sorry to hear that you lost your buddy Rat. That makes me feel very sad for you. Dogs are the best!

Sorry about your car accident, too. Boy, we have both had an eventul summer to say the least! Synchronicity...

Have a nice weekend and be good to yourself.

What a lovely tent, with daisy doors and a propeller seed lift.
I'm going to image this place and go and take a nap here with lavender sheets and listen to the "Ladybug Picnic" song!
Those ladybugs are so lucky...

Truly enjoyed the video, your blog is always a treat to visit :) :) :)

aawww, so cute, unfortunately my cat's idea of a ladybug picnic is a little different - not as cute - she's not invited to the next one!

What a charming piece, Val. I love the soft cheery colors. I can't remember if you do this all in airbrush, or Photoshop. It looks like traditional airbrush. Hope you're having a fun summer.
