Illustration Friday: talisman

My talisman is a house key. A skeleton key that might have a past, some history. From a home that was lived in and loved in. Maybe it doesn't exist any more except in the memories of a former occupant, but the humble key remains.

My submission for Illustration Friday's "talisman" is "Housekey" made from clay, paint and handmade paper.

Val, this puts me in the mind of Jasper John's 3-D work! I love this! The simplicity of line and the tactile look of the little homes! So original and unique...a winner!

Great work! I love this! (I live in an old house and all of our bedroom doors use skeleton keys.)

A great take on talisman.

I love how tiny the houses are. It's just the perfect entry. Beautiful and witty.

This is brilliant. The imagination and the flare to put all of this together. Then the music. ace combination. wow.
