Illustration Friday: double

When I paint illustrations for cards, calendars and stickers I often have to make 2 of the same image and sometimes 4 if it is a seasonal item. I have a game I play with myself to see if I can make them look identical. Sometimes I have to make the same item in reverse and I enjoy this as well. Here are some examples of my submission for Illustration Friday's "double" theme.

1. Love Grows (greeting card)

2. Homes for the Holidays Stickers (spring/summer)

3. House Paint stickers (LOVE & Happy Birthday)

Hey Val! Yay! I'm the first one!!! It's funny, I stopped by your blog about an hour ago to see what you were up to... I must have had a feeling you were up to something ;O) I love, love, love that "love grows" greeting card. You really nailed the reverse image! Great stuff for IF! You are a remarkable talent my dear!

you are so sweet Valerie, I appreciate your visits. Thanks for not forgetting me and for your kind comments. I'm feeling much better now, no more Sudafed, I really don't like taking that stuff. I love these, works great for Illustration Fridays prompt too. They are double cute ;)

I just love the middle one - especially the beach house. And there's my kitty in the window again!

Hi val, I hope you're well? Thanks for stopping by...

And may I say that these houses are just the cutest? You always manage to show sweetness in such a delightful way. :)

That row of hearts with the heart seed packet on a stick is really clever!! I also liked seeing your hand written notes on the paper in the last two images...it's cool to see an artists thoughts/sketches and notes in the process...it would be fun to see some of your idea sketches one day ;o)

Awesome paintings as always, valibu~

I would be difficult to pick a favorite, but if forced I would say the top one. Fantastic, all.

The cards are all beautiful Val, I can't pick my favourite.

These are great, Val! I believe my favorite is the middle one with the two houses...they're all precious, but something about that little kitty peeking out is irresistible! Hope you are having a great summer :)

I agree with Dood, it's fun to see your notes as well! But I like the last one the best...and it's my cat too! ;-)

Your stuff is amazing. You are amazing to create so many copies of an idea and do it so well. I love your houses, they have so much personality and style.

Great work as per usual. Hope you're having a great weekend!
