Val - it just blows my mind that every week you have something that is absolutely perfect for the topic. You don't even have to twist or stretch to get your painting to fit the topic! This is really funny...it reminds me of that children's book, Amelia Bedelia ... Amelia takes everything literally....when she's told to "dust the furniture," she sprinkles powder on it, etc. It's really funny. I love the humor in this image, and the quote seals the deal.
I love this! and there are cute little bathtub feet! hee-hee
Val: You are the greatest. I'm burning my work and going to become a butterfly wrangler. I just can't compete with you. Bad Dog
Wonderful - I love the clawfeet! I'm with Carla...how well your stuff fits each topic! Are you running out of calendars?
I love this,Val!...and I've always loved clawfoot tubs. They remind me of my grandmothers' house.
Val, This is such a cute one! Carla is right it is totally Amelia Bedalia-ish. You are so wonderfully creative!!!
Gotta luv that lion's claw theme for furniture !=^_^=stevePoisonPencil
Ha!!SO cute!! Ilove the way the toes are splayed...kind oflike a cartoon dog!
Val, I'm sure that many a housewife would love to do exactly what you beautiful illustration shows on such a sunny day.
Val, this is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable!! Love how you think!
i always look forward visiting your site. gosh-this is really another beautiful piece of artwork. i like the color of the house actually-my favorite.
Wonderful colors and composition. I so love the bathtub, it's wonderful. You are so talented. I love your illustrations because they are so uplifting and glow with warmth and happyness. Really lovely.
I love it, and I know the minute I tell my beetle character Hattie she will swoon over it! It had not occurred to her you could put a whole house into the bathtub. You are inspirational to both of us :)
Bathtub feet. Bathtub with house inside. Woman scrubbing house. Reference to poetry. Likey.
This is one of my favourites of yours yet! And I wish I could clean my house like this...
Aha! Claw-footed bathtub! It took me awhile to figure out while I was enjoying it for what it is. Like Carla said, this also reminds me of Amelia Bedelia.
Wonderful, clever, delightful! I think sometimes that's the only way to clean house...just dunk the whole mess!
This is just great picture!!!I wish I could too clean my house this easily.... you have so cool imagination!
another wondrous, imaginative piece!
Ha! That's wonderful.love
It's wonderful and originaò Who would think of that? But you did. After all the house, too, needs a good bath. Delightful.
Perfect; once again!!Was this for a spring month: spring cleaning?
In France there is a song which says:It's a blue house leaned with the hill, one comes there a foot, on does not stike, those which live on lost there the key...Your drawing is very beautiful.I like blue.Good weekend
I love the painting...but it makes me a little sad to see that clawfoot tub. When we moved from our home three years ago to where we are now, we left a gorgeous home built in 1888 behind, complete with two lovely bathrooms that had the original clawfoot tubs. Now we are blessed with the new "plastic." How lovely.
Awh, I love this beautiful paintin, there is so much old time good things in it, I miss my bath tub.
Vry clever, lov your house´s paint! !
Very clever, lov your house´s paint! !
She's right, it ain't. Now, where can I get a tub like that?
Question, does she hire out? I had a great aunt, I spent summers with when I was very young, she had a freestanding tub like this, not sure if it had three toes or ten toes, or four or one hundred, I do know I didn't appreciate the beauty of it then-but I remember it. Your paintings bring sweet memories to us, a rare thing.
This is very refreshing...i personally love bathtubs! So creative!
oh god, i love that bathtub! the feet are so cute (squeaky voice). And those bubbles are perfect!
This is wonderful! Great job on this weeks theme...very unique and totally appropriate!a.
Ha ha!! It looks like you might have a brilliant idea here on how to more quickly clean the house. This way, the living room and kitchen downstairs get a good soaking and you can just shower nozzle the upper floors! Beautiful painting.
Inspirational...which I need because the theme feet has me stumped. I love your illustrations, always uplifting and wonderful. I too wish I could clean my house like this. Great job.
eh,eh, gaugain is my hero!
Val, like Carla it blows my mind also. You always find just he right image. I love claw tubs. When I was pregnant, about 7 months, with my first son I was visiting my Mom and for some reason we were chating in the bathroom and I was sitting on the edge of the claw foot tub and fell backwards and got stuck with my legs hanging over the edge. We laughed so hard and it took a couple of pulls to get me up. thanks for the memory.
This is the first time to your site. This is fantastic! I love your work.

HA it does remind me of Amelia Bedelia. Those were my favorites. That is so good! Who would have thought of putting a house in a bathtub? only you!
eheheheh... lovely illo!!! :-)
So creative and unexpected!
What a beautiful piece. You have such control over your airbrush. And such patience when others are doing the same effects digitally now, like me. I used to use my Badger, and my Paache AB all the time. I haven't used it in years... all that frisketing!
Oh I wish it were that simple to clean my house! Great job as always.
Simply charming. Cute tub. Feel like a bath now.
Instead of being a complete echo...well done and lovely work. :)
