Illustration Friday: Angels and Devils

My submission for Illustration Friday's Angels and Devils is a dimensional resined painting called "Flying Home". Some of you might remember an illustrated version that I used for IF's Free theme. This is one of my most popular images so I have done it in every medium and colour combo you can think of.

This pink house is an Angel flying back home to the hood and the Devil lives next door...

Val, another wonderful whimsical home full of life!!! The only thing- I cant imagine any of the houses as the devil since all your homes are so inviting!!!!! :-)

Val there is nothing you haven't thought of or done.
Yes all your homes are inviting devil or no devil.
Awesome, girlfriend! I'll take one of those little pink houses anyday.

An angelhouse! What fervid imagination and creativity you've got, valgalart. Nreighbours are not always the ones you'd choose if you could, arent' they?

Flying houses - and beautiful artwork. I love the 3-d effect what a fun idea. It takes wonderful talent to give a house such expression. Great job.

Gorgeous picture - your colour-sense is so wonderful! I remember your "Free" picture and this is thematically related (as you point out). Fascinating technique you've got there as well!

glad to hear that you appreciate shadow puppets...it's a real amazing show...and amazingly funny are your flying houses!

Now thats a great house and it must have flying carpets inside too... how dreamy (I'm more on a fairy story kick at the moment than the angels etc!)

The desire for this piece is understandable. Your way with color is inspiring, and your unique takes. I think your little pink angel house has got it's work cut out and knows it from the expression, i'm sure it will be okey, I can't imagine anything evil happenining in any of the places you take us.

Beautifully done, Val. It makes me wish that all houses could be so colorful. It would be a much more colorful world then.

Well we can't always choose are neighbours. Great house, also looks like it's done a hard day's night of angelling. A hovering house is very rare in these parts.

Oh boy I lived in that hood and I got out! Love your version much more though as always.

What a lot of fun this image is! Sometimes I wish my apartment would sprout wings and fly to Spain for a nice vacation.

Love the colors!

Thanks for your comment on my blog.

I like the 3D effect here and also the way you paint around the edges with gallery wrap canvas in general. I am also getting to where I don't use frames. What did we do before gallery wrap?
