Illustration Friday: Jungle

My submission for Illustration Friday's "Jungle" is a painting called "Pick Me". I think this is from 1987 but I will have to look that up later. This is acrylic on masonite and I bought this groovy bamboo frame to enhance the island/jungle feel.

Your village reminds me of the 'peaceful' village from 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight.' Love the contrast of the bright colors. Beautiful.

I like your sense of humour!the painting is really good, I like the foliage mos, and the farming is absolutely appropiate.Thanx for your comment...[the "steaming cup" on the top of the buildings are short and fat chimneys, the same you can see upon venetian ancient roofs...which I love]
