Illustration Friday: total

My submission for Illustration Friday's "total" is from my 2002 HomeMade calendar and the title is "Home Delivery". It was a total surprise when the stork showed up! This was for the month of January . Out with the old year and in with the new. The quote is: I remember, I remember the house where I was born, the little window where the sun came peeping in the morn ~Thomas Hood

Ahhhhh... a very soft and sweet illo val. Very nice...I like this a lot.

Say, Dood. Did the bear photos make it to your email the other day? I sent it to the aol email address I found on your blog. I hope it made it in-- the sending address had the name "sweetpea" on it. I know...I know...too cute. It's the name I grew up with... ;)

Love the illo, love the quote! I'm not sure I'd like a baby dropped into my house without lots and lots of prep! A puppy or kitty...now you've got me :)

This is wonderful! It almost looks like the house is made of cookie and the roof has luscious chocolate icing on it! Or maybe that's my sweet tooth calling? lol

As always, I'm amazed at your lovely detailed work Val.

I love your work. You are marvelous and very witty. As for the stork, oh yes, they surprise over and over, now I have to deal with the teenager - this is more than a total surprise for me. There are days I tell myself that I should have had a dog, even a cat.
