Climbing to the top of one of the tallest buildings she saw the message written in the stars.
My submission for Illustration Friday's "climbing" theme is a very old painting featuring my dog Yote. She was the star of many of my older works and I loved her dearly. I am busy working on a new houscape and preparing work for an Art House project.

Pretty Kitty! I love the blues and with the glow of the light from the windows.
This dog must be amazing... how did he climb to the top of this building? Love the abstract quality and primary colors, very vibrant.

Wow! I really adore your good imagination on this sweet and whimsical piece.
Your cute doggy is celebrating this romantic night scene by her wishful beats, counting all the stars over and over here.
Not only you love her dearly, me too have fall in love with your cute cute dog. I also love your candid buildings, they are like presents.
Excellent!!!! Just like living in a Gem House:)
Oooh! Beautiful as ever, Val. Also I've had to trawl through lots of stuff that bore no relation to the theme, so it's lovely to see one that has, and so lyrically!
Please come over, I have several awards for you.
I always look forward to bumping into your zany airbrush edifices as I'm scrolling down the list.Since I've done airbrush for many years, I picture all of the time that you spend frisketing.
Nice idea, I love the colours and the retro way its drawn, Stopped a while and listend to ol blue eyes, cooky man, like right on yeh!
beautiful work… love last weeks' "ducK' as well… amzing… both of them…
I really like the rooftop effect and colors in this...this would be a great 3D item but I wonder if that would make it lose some of the charm???
such a great concept. love your dog sitting among the blue buildings.
Muy lindo tu trabajo, me encantó!
Nice illustration, Val! It's been too long since I visited your blog (and others' as well). Thanks for sharing! :)
Oh Val this illo is so poetic and magic!!!
Oh to sit and gaze at the moon with a good friend...
I have a sweet old dog that always appears in my work...Cinder. She's 14 years old and has inoperable cancer and I 'll love her to the end...
I love the dreamy, optimistic feeling of this. And the whimsy-wacky buildings are just fabulous! It's almost as if that pointed roof were pointing at Yote. :)
Very wonderful illustration. Cats have it great don't they. If reincarnation were real I wouldn't mind coming back as a cat. One of those spoiled fat house cats.
this one is alot of fun... i nice change of pace from your single family homes!
Wow! I LOVE these colors, and the contrasts. This is exciting and dynamic. Yote is quite the climber!
Lovely as always. :)
