If somebody moved into your neighborhood and built a house like this would you embrace it or would you think they are crazy? I am so happy that there are kooky people that build houses like this because it makes the world a more interesting place! It needs a few kids though...

i agree the more the better to many houses all look the same any more rather boring house scape nowadays.
cant wait to see it in color Val.
Hahahah I used to be a home builder and this is so true. The art is fantastic and can't wait for the color version and the real home is awsome!!! where did you find a picture of that?
i am looking forward for the color version already-what a fabulous drawing and idea!
Very interesting, indeed and you are right, it needs children.....
I wonder if that house stinks like an old shoe? Hahaha!
It's just fabulous if you ask me. What woman wouldn't want to live in a shoe! I'm just in love them and this cute illustration. Great illustration!
Great line work!
Wonderful.. Makes me think of Jimmy Choo shoes, only in this case I think it is the knock off..
"Gimmie Shoes!"
This is wonderful - and I would love it!
Oh my gosh, I would SOOOO love this! I've seen pictures of wacky houses and love them all (the toilet house, anyone?). Although, in real life, your house is MUCH more stylish. The real one kind of looks orthopedic, but that's ok. I'm sure it's fantastic inside as well. :D
I'm not a shoe person and living in a flip-flop would be quite breezy, even here in So. Cal.
Very fun illustration can't wait to see the final version.
How lovely!!a shoe house! great illustration :)
Excuse me ... but do you have this in red patent leather pump....
Val you have the most interesting posts!!!
Simply fabulous!!!
fabulous, no question!!!
i'd need more windows, val!
In the spirit of Tagging... I have awarded you the KREATIVE BLOGGER AWARD. You can play along if you like, by picking up the award on my blog.
Now I get the true meaning of House Move...
i wouldn't mind the old woman's shoe...but all those kids who come with it? NIMBY!
I think fabulous NOT flawed. So is your site.
Yeah, I do agree. What a cute house it will make.
Hope to see the beautiful finished illustration:)
lovely! there must be an old woman in there somewhere...
Ahoy, Val! Boot-houses? It's because things like these I'm in love with creative people.
Of course, FABULOUS!!!
Fabulous illo! I cant believe a house like that really exists!
I'd mush rather it was filled with cats and dogs :) And yes, more windows! Looking forward to seeing it colored in.
Lucky you, you'll be seeing KJ soon! Have a wonderful, magical visit :)
Lucky her too!!
I saw a show about a year ago with another shoe house! I'm not sure what network, but there is a show that focuses on 'odd' homes...if only I were rich enough to have one myself...
I like the line work on your pic and was shocked to see just a line drawing vs. a colored final item...but I have to say this has a bit of charm to it in the simple nature...nice...
so cool, I saw a pbs show about this shoe house, I love all of those road side attractions, I am hoping we get to visit a few of them this summer!
Nice work, Val!
I love your illo. I think I want to live in a shoe!!
Great illo! And post too! Hmmm...interesting house, it's really not so bad.
A house with 'sole'! Great fun! x
I love it, I want to live in it!
Hmm, not sure it would go with the neighborhood! :)
WOW!! That's a very interesting house. Kind of cute!! HE! HE!!
I love the houses that you find us ... Very original. There is no like that in France.
A long time ago that I had not participated in IF.I could not work on my sculptures for two weeks, I had tendinitis in right wrist and I took the opportunity to draw. I'm going to draw me ... I am drawing too much for my sculptures ...
