House Plants Illustration Friday: Pink

I made this small painting on paper to get out this idea again. I have made this image a few times, all different from each other. This closeup is a little over 5'x7".  I enjoy the process and love the idea. Coincidentally I added pink flowers which works for the "pink" theme on IF this week :)  This image is called "House Plants".

Illustration Friday: Stripes and Happy Halloween 2016!

I was walking through the woods behind the house and stumbled upon this little abode. I knew that
these little houses existed because I have written about them several times here and here. To actually find one is quite thrilling and I picked it up and brought it home. I hope to find a tenant very soon.
My submission for Illustration Friday's "Stripes" is " Candy Corn Cabin"  but it is a cross between a teepee and a tent which is why it works so well in the woods.

"Life in a Candy Corn House is Sweet!"
Wishing you all a Happy Halloween and happy Trick or Treat!

Illustration Friday : Tattoo

Working on a painting but I couldn't resist this quickie on a scrap of rag paper
for Illustration Friday's prompt. I love making a neighborhood "Tattoo" Parlour.
Many cities have a lot of closed storefronts, Tattoo shops survive the times.

Josie's Garden for Illustration Friday "Childhood" theme

Paper Sculpture for Josephine's bedroom. I had to quickly take photos because it needed to
be framed and delivered so I took a few with my phone and then with my digital camera. Different views and angles. I added the mushrooms after my first set of photos because I stumbled upon this little fragile world and had to incorporate it into the image. I feel pleased,
not with my photos, but with the original art. The finished painted paper sculpture is called
"Josie's Garden"...

Illustration Friday: Lush

My submission for Illustration Friday's "Lush" theme is a functional piece of art that can hang or sit and it also serves as a little vase or flower holder by way of the chimney. I am going with the origin of Lush from the year 1610, Middle English  LUSCH which means soft and tender :} I am calling this house "Lusch Life" and it is inspired by this song. Have a wonderful Labour Day Weekend and Happy Weekend to all!

Illustration Friday: Rescue

My submission for Illustration Friday's "Rescue" theme is a painted paper sculpture and it is completely created from a piece of Stonehenge paper. It is lovely to start with a simple sheet of paper and turn it into a full colour dimensional image. I also used one pin, glue and a piece of thread. Happy weekend everyone!

Illustration Friday: Egg

My submission for Illustration Friday's " Egg
" is one of my Home Town die cut greeting cards. This card  is a shoppe that features Easter items  and like all of my Home Town cards it stands on it's own and when you collect all 5 you have a little town :) The original is Liquitex acrylics on Canson AirBrush Paper. Each card is a different die cut and there are 10 different buildings in total for holidays, birthdays, important anniversaries or simply just to say I am thinking of you.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover!
