Illustration Friday Holiday

The title of this painting is "Celebrate the Holidays Together"
It captures a neighborhood that is diverse. Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad, Kwanzaa and Christmas. Sorry if I forgot anybody. Diverse like all the artists that participate at Illustration Friday. IF has been a highlight this year! I feel as though I have made new friends. We don't criticize, we praise and inspire each other! It's a wonderful thing! Happy, Merry everyone.

Val, your houses really have spirit and personalities...I almost expect them to start talking! These are especially animated and happy looking, and I love your message. It is really fun to interact with a global community of artists in such a supportive way, and I too am happy for the blog friends I've made. Have a happy holiday and all the best in the new year!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I see my husband (cosmos) has been here, too. Anyway...I love your style! Stop back again sometime. I'd love to compare notes about our careers. We are moving to New York next month...so I can start a new job (graphic design, packaging). I'm a few years older than you, and it's been too long since I've been a newbie on the job. Merry Merry Christmas to you!

It's like that line I hear a lot, Unity in Diversity.

All neighbours, all different, all standing side by side.

Twisselman said...

Yes, yes! Before I read your text, I was thinking how warm and inviting were your houses of different cultures. Wonderful detail and colors of course. Nice message. Yes, the folks posting here at Illustration Friday show diversity of style but unity of spirit. I think that's what the peace of the world depends upon. Merry Christmas.
