Sugarplum fairies

The owner of Marisol asked me to make a couple of illustrations for holiday cards that used Nutcracker themes because her daughter was so in love with the story and characters, so I was happy to oblige. When I was little I wanted to be a ballerina too. I enjoyed painting this little scene.

inside reads: wishing you a holiday season of joy and wonder

This is the perfect topper for my little grandaughters cake!! Oh, how she would love it! Frightful, creative monster(I say with pride) at three. She is a force to be reconed with, but all girlie-girl too! You have all that would capture a little girl's heart and big girl's too! Lovely!!

Beautiful colours, Val.
Strange but I can hear some music!

Very nice and dreamlike. The Nutcracker Suite is one of my favorite things about the holidays.
