ValGal: This looks really tasty. I'd love to have breakfast at your house. Lunch or dinner would be fine too. Do you have any dog biscuits or Alpo? Sincerely, Bad Dog (deceased)
I love the subtle colouring in this. Great pic!
Dear Val - perfect illo as always. You are an inspiration.
I love that saying, it very American though... very nice illustration, I like the colour combination.

I can smell the biscuits already. They may not warm the house but they warm my tummy. :) I love biscuits.

This is delightful! And...so perfect!
I love this! such a great idea!
Toast! My uncle always loved his toast burned. I thought that was very strange but it made my mom happy as she couldn't make toast without burning it. Fun illo pal!
THe most creative that I've seen conceptually. Nice depth and color too.
Wonderful Val! You are the 'house queen'! Love that wallpaper with the little daisies!! I need it!
Ahh Val...way cool. Tricky with those little houses. Did you ever hear about that guy that toasts bread and creates artwork out of them? It's not like the Jesus on the tortilla, but close! heh heh...
Great to be back and see some of your beautiful work.
:)

Nice illustration. I'll scrape off the burnt part and still have the toast.
Very clever Val!Now I need to go and make some toast! Great job!
Nothing is worse than burning biscuits! Then trying to cut off the burned part makes it only worse.... ha ha
Very clever and a great illo val!
It is nothing less than incredible that you should have a wonderful house illustration for almost any subject. This is fantastic. How nice to have a toasty warm house.
this is so CREATIVE!!! I love it, good title too

val, the extent and depth of your work amazes me. i'd love to hear how you spend your time these days.

Very clever...I like the house toast. The proverb fits in perfectly. Cheers!
Yum! Toasty housecakes! I think I make pretty good buttermilk biscuits, but just let me fix them for company and I get them too toasty every time :(

House shaped bread, I think you have a market there! You come up with the funniest inventions :)
I like the beautiful, patterns graphic effect that you created on this one, Val.
Well, them biscuits don't look burnt to me but it must take hours to shape them into houses!
Funny one and great work.

Reminds me of when we were kids, and dad would toast the pop-tarts so long they would ignite...
My kids would love to get house-breads, when they were younger! You have some very gentle, lovely colours - beautiful image!
That's funny! Love your work!
This is just too cute!
